On the CAFE Insider docket: 

– Former President Donald Trump’s last-minute attempts to delay the start of the hush money criminal trial in Manhattan, including his petitions to change the venue of the trial, to seek recusal of the judge, and to adjourn the proceedings due to pretrial publicity;

– The increasing tension between U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon and special counsel Jack Smith in his classified documents prosecution of Trump after Cannon rebuffed Smith’s request to issue an immediate ruling on the Presidential Records Act defense; and
