Dear Reader,
We have heard a lot about the maladroit, and downright deceitful, lawyering of those who purportedly served the former president. The Kraken lawyers’ woes worsen, with Rudy Giuliani coming closer to losing his law license even while he does embarrassing turns via Cameo.
But as the Jan. 6th hearings continue into their second week, there is a renewed spotlight on the scuffles and skirmishes between and among various Trump lawyers. You would be hard-pressed to find Trump attorneys who covered themselves in glory, but there were notable clashes that pitted, on the one hand, lawyers who did not represent Trump directly, versus personal or campaign lawyers. Call it the lawyers versus the lackeys, if you will.
These confrontations were noteworthy, to me at least, for their intensity.
