Preet Bharara:
Hey, folks. This week for my note, I wanted to focus on yet another global outbreak. This time, as you have heard, it's monkeypox. Over the past few days, a number of states have declared states of emergency to help stop the spread of the virus. So I'm not an expert, but I brought an expert in, Dr. Kavita Patel. Dr. Patel has spent her career at the intersection of medicine and policy. She's a primary care physician who has held health policy roles at Brookings Institution and in the Obama White House, where she helped design the Affordable Care Act. She's also a contributor for NBC and MSNBC. Dr. Patel, welcome to the show.
Dr. Kavita Patel:
Thanks for having me, Preet. Big fan.
