Dear Reader,

It’s time for a rant. This non-white, non-Christian immigrant from India is fed up with the lecturing and hectoring from would-be leaders of the Republican Party. The self-proclaimed party of patriots. Party of the Constitution. Party that claims to honor the founding fathers. It’s just gaslighting garbage.

To wit:

About four weeks ago, former national security advisor Michael Flynn delivered remarks at a “Reawaken America” tour event at the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas. The former military man and self-described patriot faced a cheering crowd and made this strident statement: “So if we are going to have one nation under God, which we must, we have to have one religion.” He then repeated himself: “One nation under God and one religion under God, right? All of us working together.” His message was a crowd pleaser. When other nations establish religions, whether Sharia law or anything else, Americans tend to recoil. It’s the fever dream talk of an Ayatollah. But the Flynn crowd cheered.
